This vintage Swedish wool kilim is a beautifully balanced piece of Scandinavian textile art, showcasing bold geometry with a warm, earthy palette. The central field is a soft beige, bordered by repeating stepped brown motifs that create a rhythm reminiscent of traditional Swedish folk designs. At each end, vivid woven panels feature stylised geometric forms in dusty rose, olive green, cream, and brown, arranged symmetrically around a mirrored “X” motif that draws the eye inward. Fine horizontal stripes in coordinating hues frame these panels, while a fringe of hand-knotted tassels adds a final artisanal touch. Crafted using the flatweave technique, this kilim combines the functional durability of wool with a minimalist yet folkloric aesthetic, making it ideal for both rustic and mid-century-inspired interiors.
