Detailed information on Floral with Birdhouses and Diamonds (#181)

This is a photo of the original rug hooked circa 1875. A grey and brown pot is filled with faded red flowers with khaki drab and moss green leaves. The pot is flanked by two birdhouses on poles, in the same khaki green with faded red outlines. There are large diamonds in the same colors, used throughout, with blue added. the background is a warm khaki. The border is the same dark browns and greys that are in the pot. Perfect balance of color, easy to hook and primitive!
