Detailed information on Native American Sterling Silver Kingman Turquoise Bead Necklace AX85154

MATERIALS: Sterling Silver and real Kingman Turquoise.MEASUREMENTS: The necklace measures approximately 29-1/4\" long and weighs 62 grams.

DESCRIPTION

This is a very exquisite necklace that must not be overlooked! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand strung out of genuine sterling silver and real Kingamn Turquoise beads. The necklace consists of: 2-mm silver round beads, 6-mm Kingman Turquoise rondelle beads, along with Kingman Turquoise beads that range from 6-mm to 17-mm. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone and bead for a remarkable finish. The cones are stamped sterling.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
