HOT ! Ombre Orange Sari Silk Feather & Alcohol Ink Chest Piece - Boho Spirit

Here\'s an extremely colorful, one-of-a-kind sari silk and feather Avant Garde Bohemian Chest Piece for collectors of wearable art!  A 3\" hand sculpted bead is the focal point on this piece, which was painted, embellished and sealed with a very high-gloss glaze.  It is so lightweight it would float in water.  Multiple strands of sari silk are suspended from each side of the ball and intermittantly, orange feathers are scattered.  Two strands of sari silk comprise the actual necklace portion with a 10\" drop on each side.  An ornate gold tone snake head finishes the piece.  These distressed sari silk ribbons are taken from either scraps or recycled garments from Eastern Indian women.  Imagine the babies they\'ve held, the cooking they created and the memories made while wearing these garments.  I love that this is a sustainable practice and now you can too!  The side strands measure up to approximately 17\".  You can trim the strands if they are too long for your torso or personal taste.  From the Atelier of Kat Kouture!  The distressed fabric is to add drama and a raw organic look but if needed, you can \"groom\" them to your liking.  (please see the complementary earrings listed separately in my shop)
