About Rhodonite: Rhodonite is a vivid pink gemstone with delicate accents of white, brown, and occasionally purple, formed from manganese silicate. Often found with a distinctive black pyrolusite \'rind,\' its color spectrum ranges from soft candyfloss pink to rich garnet red. The stone’s soft, feminine shades beautifully complement the bold and intricate designs of our carvings. We carefully hand-collect this pink Rhodonite from the region just south of Dunedin, making it a rare east coast treasure.
