This series \'Behind the Invisible\' was inspired by the battle women have endured to be seen, heard and valued worldwide. A movement of power within the feminine world has enabled a voice, a strength to face up and have the courage to move forward withholding a place on this earth. A place of beauty, compassion, acceptance, understanding and pride.
Each one of my pieces is hand-crafted from recycled perspex, collected from manufacturers discarded off-cuts. Within my practice I aim to divert this plastic from landfill by repurposing it and creating a new life in the form of wearable art.
Recycled perspex, artist quality acrylic paint, 925 sterling silver and black hematite.
An edition of 2, handcrafted in Western Australia.
