This necklace features an oval cut cabochon of the mineral marcasite. Marcasite is a mineral with a hardness of 6 to 6.5 and is chemically identical to pyrite, which is why it is sometimes referred to as “white iron pyrite”. This cut stone reveals abstract splashes of its metallic shine. It\'s wrapped with a sterling silver wire that has been oxidized to bring out its rope like texture.
