This antique Satsuma hand-painted ceramic pendant is elegantly set in a gold wash sterling silver frame and back, and is strung with vintage bone, carnelian, and Iolite beads. The necklace features a matching bone barrel clasp. The shield-shaped pendant, which is embedded in a gold wash sterling silver back and bezel, carries the maker\'s mark of FS. It has the distinctive cream color and fine crackle glaze typical of Satsuma ceramics. The intricate enamel design features vibrant butterflies, bordered by a narrow painted gilt edge. The pendant measures 1.9 x 1.5 inches, while the necklace has a total length of 18 inches.
