Original 1940s rayon dress with a lovely graphic fantasy novelty print composed of abstract floral and geometric motifs. Prints of this type were produced in limited quantities during the 1940s due to fabric restrictions and are increasingly difficult to find today, particularly in this scale and layout.The dress has short cap sleeves and a fitted bodice shaped with darts at the front and back. The skirt is constructed from four gores, creating a clean, streamlined silhouette rather than fullness. It closes with one button at the front and one at the side. The rayon fabric has no stretch.
