HOT ! Eero Saarinen Tulip Table - Oval Dining 33 x 63 Inch

Perhaps the most famous piece from Saarinen\'s Pedestal Series is the Saarinen Tulip Table. Designed between 1955 and 1957, the Saarinen Table embodies the design philosophy behind one of the century\'s greatest American architects. Constructed of cast aluminum, the Saarinen Table flows from top to bottom and from side to side in a fluid exchange of lines. Saarinen employed a range of tulip bases and tops in various interior designs throughout his career. The Saarinen table shown here is a favorite as it can be used in a variety of spaces, but is most commonly used as a dining or small conference table.

Eero Saarinen focused on developing new materials for use in his furniture designs and architecture.  Although he did not design many buildings or furniture, Saarinen’s designs and materials continue to have a lasting impact on design today.  The use of fiberglass and cast aluminum, as seen in his Pedestal Series, is an excellent example of this innovative and creative approach. 

The Saarinen Table has a lacquered cast aluminum base in white, black, or silver. The Saarinen Table base is treated with a clear protective finish to resist scratches, stains, and scuffs. Saarinen table stone tops are protected with a natural wax finish.  The workmanship and materials are 100% Italian, ensuring that you will have a piece that will last for years to come, an heirloom you can enjoy.
