The M 17\" provides the same 175/320 RPM dual-speed strip-and-polish capability as the M 20\" in a narrower 17-inch path that fits through standard commercial door frames and around restroom fixtures. At 100 lbs versus 105 lbs for the M 20\", the weight difference is small — both use rolled steel bases that add meaningful downward pressure for stripping compared to polyethylene alternatives. Operations that clean both large open spaces and connected corridors or restrooms often keep the M 17\" for confined areas and a larger machine for open floors, using the same pad stock across both.
