The Smokeeter model LS is great for cleaning the air in smoking areas including bars, casinos, nightclubs, and restaurants. The LS concealed Smokeeter systems are an innovative concept in electronic air cleaners. Their flexibility enables these units to adapt to any situation or room configuration to effectively solve your particular air cleaning needs. The Smokeeter LS is ideal for locations where aesthetics are important because it is installed above the ceiling and is virtually out of sight. Only the supply and return grilles show. The LS operates quieter than other large-capacity air cleaners and can be ducted to multiple rooms because it is concealed.

How does the Smokeeter LS work?...

Dirty air is drawn into the Smokeeter LS system through inlet grilles, or Return Air Assemblies, which can be located in different areas. The air flows through Aluminized Flexible Ductwork and is directed to the Smokeeter LS via a \'Wye\' Connection. Once inside the LS, pollutants and other harmful contaminants are removed from the air stream by the highly effective multi-stage filtration. Next, clean air is sent through more ductwork and another \'Wye\' Connection, where it is discharged into different locations through louvered outlet grilles or Supply Air Assemblies. Smokeeter LS air cleaners are far superior to the competition because they use Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) technology to remove contaminants like smoke, dust, pollen, bacteria, fungi, and viruses from the air. Harmful particles are drawn into the Smokeeter LS unit and given an electronic charge. Then, like a magnet, ESP Collection Cells capture the charged pollutants and send the contaminate-free air through a carbon after-filter to eliminate odors. The result: clean, fresh air circulated throughout the room.

Filtering Stages in the Smokeeter LS Concealed Air Cleaner

Stage 1 - Pre-FilterThe pre-filter traps the larger particles and evenly distributes the air as it passes through to the ionizing section of the Unicell.

Stage 2 - IonizerThe ionizing section is made up of fine tungsten wires supported between metal plates. When high voltage is applied to these parts a \'corona\' field is generated which imparts a high voltage charge on particles that pass through it.

Stage 3 - Electronic CellThe electronic cell collection section is made up of a series of convoluted metal plates These plates act like a magnet and attract the charged particles, removing them, from the air. The plates are alternately charged positive and ground. The positive plates repel the particles while the ground plates attract them, yielding a very high efficiency.

Stage 4 - Activated Carbon After-FilterCarbon aids in the removal of odors from the air. The carbon after filter removes any residual odors from the system and polishes the air as it exits the system.

Optional - Plenum with 18 Pounds of Activated CarbonIn addition to the carbon after-filter, an optional carbon module, or plenum, holds an additional 18 pounds of activated carbon. Carbon is an excellent adsorbent used to combat strong, pervasive odors. The 20-gauge steel plenum in the Smokeeter LS holds six (6) 3-pound trays of carbon. Its 16-inch inlet/outlet collars allow the Carbon Plenum to connect to either flexible or hard duct. The optional carbon plenum adds 16-7/8 inches to the length of the Smokeeter LS.
