The Smokemaster X-400 is a quiet, flush-mount electronic air cleaner that installs into a standard 2\'×2\' drop-ceiling opening. Designed for spaces up to 400 sq. ft., it removes moderate levels of cigarette and tobacco smoke in offices, meeting rooms, lounges, salons, and similar areas.

With 175–400 CFM of airflow and a high-efficiency electrostatic cell, the X-400 captures fine airborne particles along with gaseous odors and contaminants. The low-profile grille sits flush with the ceiling, while the cabinet remains hidden above the tile for an unobtrusive, built-in look.

How does the Smokemaster X-400 Electronic Air Cleaner work?

Stage 1 - Metal Mesh Pre-FilterThe X400 pre-filter captures large particles such as hair, lint & pollen before they can enter the electronic cell. The pre-filter is washable but should be replaced after repeated use.

Stage 2 - Electronic CellsA process called “Electrostatic Precipitation” traps over 97% of airborne contaminants on each pass through the X400. The ionizing section of the electronic cell electrically charges individual pollution particles. The electrostatic charge forces them to adhere to the oppositely charged collector plates. The electronic cells must be washed periodically to maintain efficient performance.

OPTIONAL - Carbon Post FiltersCarbon enhances odor removal and helps to remove odors, VOCs and gases providing a cleaner, odor-free air discharge. The X-400 includes 2 carbon filters. Carbon cannot be washed - filters should be replaced every 4-6 months.

COANDA Airflow

The X-400 success is due to the \"COANDA Aerodynamic Principle\". Effective 360° airflow gently and evenly distributes clean air and returns dirty air to the unit. The unique 4-way method of air re-circulation gets the maximum amount of contaminated air to the machine most efficiently. More air reaches the Smokemaster while eliminating annoying drafts. This eliminates \"stuffy\" air pockets and creates people comfort as well as much better air cleaning results!
