Hand poured in the South of France, Mad et Len’s Bougie Apothicaire candles embody a kind of elemental luxury. Each one rests in a handcrafted blackened iron vessel, heavy in the hand and quiet in its presence, turning scent into a small, daily ritual. The fragrances are moody and transportive, capable of shifting a room with the softest breath of air.

Mad et Len works in small batches using essential oils distilled in their own atelier. The perfumes feel poetic and unconventional, shaped by images of scorched earth, resinous forests, alpine winds and faraway markets. They are fragrances that linger in memory long after the flame has gone out.

Because every vessel is formed and finished by hand, no two candles are ever identical. These natural irregularities give each piece a personal, almost talismanic quality, raw and elegant at the same time.

The candles are made with one hundred percent soy wax for a clean, luxurious burn. Allow the melt pool to reach the edges before extinguishing in order to extend the life of the candle. Each burn feels deliberate and slow, a small act of sophistication.
