In fact, most dragonflies only get to fly for a very, very sport period of their lives. Usually only a few months out of the many years that they are alive. This one of a kind piece has a sister necklace that was crafted at the same time but both were built from scratch. The pendant is about 2.5 inches tall including the three loops that hold it onto its necklace, and about 1.5 inches wide. The entire pendant was created from sterling silver. The tiny dragonfly, with his veined wings and slender legs, sits upon several layers of lily pads to take a rest. An open lotus flower is nearby where tall stalks of cat tails grow on each side to help hide the little creature below. I cut a circle from a vintage mirror and set it within a decorative frame to reflect the light back to you. The pendant comes on an 18 inch long sterling silver loop chain.
