Lovely, plant stand salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. It\'s made of solid mahogany and has a beautiful, dark brown stain.Even though the veneer on the tabletop is damaged, the rest of the table is in excellent condition. We must also keep in mind that the table is over 100 years old and has been through a lifetime or more of usage.The previous owner used the table as a plant stand. She didn\'t have a plate under the pot, so occasionally, water from the pot would run onto the top of the table, and eventually ruin the veneer. It\'s still a solid piece, and can be used for that purpose, and if you have a cloth or doily to put on top of the table, it could still be used as a table without anyone knowing about the damaged veneer.Notice the beautifully carved motifs on the stretchers and the round, bulls eye carving at the center! Our carpenter inspected the piece from top to bottom and said that all of the joints are tight, and there are no weak spots what-so-ever. Other than the table-top veneer, there are nicks, small dents, and scratches here and there. However, there are no breaks, cracks, gouges, or any other serious flaws. This table is strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service!
