HOT ! Anton Michelsen Silver Neck Ring with Long Two-Tone Pendant

A long two-tone pendant is suspended from a neck ring in this stylish necklace by Danish silversmiths Anton Michelsen. The necklace is constructed of sterling silver, with the textured center disks having a gilt finish. This necklace is emblematic of the swinging sixties, with its long, and literally, swinging pendant that\'s chic and sexy. Anton Michelsen was one of the most important and venerable Danish silver firms, having begun in the mid-19th century receiving commissions from the Royal family. In addition to Mr. Michelsen some of the most important Danish designers worked for the company including Georg Jensen, who apprenticed with Michelsen prior to opening his own firm. In 1968 Royal Copenhagen bought the Michelsen company and in 1972 Michelsen merged with Georg Jensen.
