Adele Casagrande was born in 1897 in Rome, Italy. A designer from a young age, she opened her first leather and fur workshop in 1918. After marrying Edoardo Fendi in 1925, she immediately re-named her workshop Fendi, after her husband. After Adele Casagrande died in 1977, the brand steadily began to emerge under the inventive eye of her daughters and the assistance of Karl Lagerfeld.

Fendi is all about refined Italian glamor. It is an unabashed display of richness and sensuality, and a taste for indulgence--what began as a small family business has today spawned a fashion empire with flagship stores located all over the world.

The Fendi eyewear collection was born in 1984 out of the wild success of the leather and fur goods that the acclaimed House of Fendi has been famous for since 1925. The collection maintains the same high standards of design and elegance that Eduardo and Adele Fendi established in Via del Plebiscito, Rome. Fendi glasses are distinguished by their undisputed elegance in line with the style of the Italian brand.
