This Burmese Ruby Tiara is the only piece of ruby jewelry that Queen Elizabeth II has ever commissioned. It was made by the House of Garrard in 1973 using the stones from her wedding gifts which include diamonds from the Nizam of Hyderabad Tiara, a Cartier tiara given to her from the Nizam of Hyderabad and 96 rubies set in gold given to her by the people of Burma.
