Elegant, antique, side chair salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. It\'s made of solid a solid hardwood (most likely walnut or mahogany) and is stained (not painted). The chair is at least 100 years old, but the stain and finish is not. I\'m guessing that the chair was refinished 30 - 40 years ago.Notice the beautiful, design on the backrest--truly remarkable! The chair has plenty of ornate carvings all around.The seat is upholstered with a fabric that has a floral, needlepoint design in the center. I\'m pretty sure that the fabric, cushion, and webbing under the seat are all original.Our carpenter inspected the piece thoroughly and found no damage or any issues. There are no breaks, cracks, rot, warp, or any other serious flaws. Expect the typical nicks and light scratches on the wood. Considering it\'s age, the fabric is in excellent condition, free of rips, tears, stains, or odors.
