This is an oriental rug with a floral pattern.  It’s a hand woven Chinese rug with a thick pile.  The tone changes with different angles.  You can rug one way for a light sheen and the other for a darker color.  You’ll notice the dark spot on the upper left.  It’s not a stain.  I think something must have been on top of it.  This rug came from a clean house with no odors.
